Regular Season Round 8: Indigenas - Jaguares 90-86

Indigenas' fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Jaguares (2-2) 90-86 on Sunday. Strangely Jaguares outrebounded Indigenas 46-33 including 27 on the offensive glass. American guard Tylan Dean (185-1999, college: Rogers St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Canadian swingman Zekiah Owens (197-1998, college: AIC) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Puerto Rican power forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (209-1990, college: UNLV) replied with a triple-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists and Cuban forward Yasmany Fundora (201-1992) added 26 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Jaguares. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Jaguares' coach Felix Selva tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Indigenas (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Tigres. Jaguares at the other side keep the seventh position with two games lost.
