No shocking result in a game when eleventh ranked U.Atletica (10-9) edged 14th ranked Lagomar (5-14) in Montevideo 90-88 on Monday. The winners were led by American center Deion McClenton (208, college: Keiser) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Miles Bowman Jr (198-1993, college: High Point) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 12 points and 15 rebounds by Venezuelan Carlos Milano (198-1985) did not help to save the game for Lagomar. Forward Federico Haller (200-1988) added 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lagomar's coach Alejandro Muro tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. U.Atletica moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Stockolmo and Colon. Lagomar lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. U.Atletica's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo O.Mundial.
