Second Stage Round 4: Stockolmo - Colon 80-53
Date: August 28, 2023
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when tenth ranked Stockolmo (10-9) rolled over 9th ranked Colon (10-9) in Montevideo 80-53 on Monday. The winners were led by guard Facundo Terra (185-1998) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists and Argentinian power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) supported him with 11 points and 18 rebounds. Four Stockolmo players scored in double figures. Stockolmo's coach Andres Borroni felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds by American power forward Quinterian McConico (203-1995, college: AAMU) did not help to save the game for Colon. Point guard Diego Alvarez (180-1990) added 5 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. Stockolmo have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Colon and U.Atletica. Stockolmo's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Montevideo to the arena 25 de Agosto.
