There was a small surprise in Montevideo where sixteenth ranked Miramar (4-16) beat 13th ranked Verdirrojo (6-14) 92-76 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Verdirrojo 41-25 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Miramar looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Argentinian power forward Gonzalo Torres (201-1994) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Matias De Gouveia (180-1988) chipped in 24 points and 4 assists. Four Miramar players scored in double figures. Miramar's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Christian Pereira (194-1993) produced 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Yari Acevedo (190-1997) added 23 points respectively for the hosts. Miramar maintains sixteenth place with 4-16 record. Loser Verdirrojo keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with O.Mundial and Lagomar.
