Everything went according to plan when Pinheiros outplayed on the road Caxias do Sul 93-59 on Wednesday. Pinheiros made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Caxias do Sul turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Naturalized Guinea-Bissau forward Yan Barbosa (204) nailed 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all eight shots !!!) for the winning side and point guard Tiago Faria (178) accounted for 14 points and 7 assists. Four Pinheiros players scored in double figures. Vinicius Chagas (202-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 19 rebounds and Leonardo Cravero (200-2002) added 15 points respectively for Caxias do Sul in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
