An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Manati. First ranked Atenienses faced 3rd placed Moca. Host Atenienses (10-1) defeated guests from Moca (6-5) 72-59. They outrebounded Moca 45-32 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Jessica Jackson (193-1995, college: Arkansas) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Atenienses' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Alexis Jennings (190-1996, college: S.Carolina) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds and forward N'Dea Jones (188-1999, college: Texas A&M) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Atenienses have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Defending champion Moca dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Atenienses are looking forward to face Cangrejeras (#4) in Santurce in the next round. Moca will have a break next round.
