Very important is a road loss of Salvadorenas 2 against Santa Tecla 2 on Saturday night. Visiting Salvadorenas 2 was crushed by Santa Tecla 2 in Santa Tecla 67-46. Santa Tecla 2 outrebounded Salvadorenas 2 52-38 including 21 on the offensive glass. Costa Rican Meilyn Herrera (185-1998) nailed a double-double by scoring 10 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and Monica Aristondo (163-1992) accounted for 23 points and 9 rebounds. Four Santa Tecla 2 players scored in double figures. Guadalupe Vasquez came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and center Silvia Vega (176-2003) added 7 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Salvadorenas 2 in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Santa Tecla 2 will meet at home LMMR 2 in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Salvadorenas 2 will have a break next round.
