The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of San Miguel on the court of San Salvador on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by San Salvador 78-69. San Salvador dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to San Miguel's 26 and made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. San Salvador's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dominican guard Genesis Evangelista (180-1993) answered with a triple-double by scoring 30 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists and American forward Raven Fields (188, college: WSSU) added 10 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for San Miguel. San Salvador will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. San Miguel will play at home against LMMR 2 and is hoping to win this game.
