Regular Season Round 14: Hatillo - Lares 85-82

Eighth-ranked Lares (1-15) gave a tough game to third ranked Hatillo (9-6). Hatillo managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Hatillo players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Dariauna Lewis (185-2000, college: Syracuse, agency: Agency) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Adrienne Godbold (180-1991, college: Illinois) supported her with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Godbold is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds by forward DaNasia Hood (185, college: Texas St., agency: Shark Sports Management) did not help to save the game for Lares. Guard Mykea Gray (163-1998, college: Miami, FL) added 17 points and 4 assists for the guests. Five Lares players scored in double figures. Hatillo maintains third position with 9-6 record having four points less than leader Manati. Lares lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Hatillo will play against Pollitas (#6) in Isabela in the next round. Lares will have a break next round.
