The game in was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Brumas (7-3) played at the court of 7th ranked UNI Basket (4-7). Brumas managed to secure a 7-point victory 77-70 on Thursday. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) chipped in 17 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward Tyler Morman (206-1997, college: Southern Miss) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 18 rebounds and point guard Brandon Wilson (-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four UNI Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Brumas. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Real Esteli. UNI Basket lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Brumas will meet at home league's second-placed Leon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UNI Basket will play against Indigenas (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
