The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Jaguares (9-4) in Managua on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by Tipitapa (9-4) 84-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jaguares. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Tipitapa forced 22 Jaguares turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Jaguares helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Clenia Salazar (-1987) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 21 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international forward Shannen Peralta (-2003) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American swingman DAsia Chambers (182-1992, college: Slippery Rock) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and the other American import swingman Jessica Fairweather (180-1990, college: Queens, NY) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Jaguares. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tipitapa have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Jaguares.
