An exciting game was played in Santa Ana. Third ranked LMMR 2 faced one of their biggest challengers Salvadorenas 2. Host LMMR 2 (3-2) defeated guests from (2-3) 72-61. LMMR 2 forced 25 Salvadorenas 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 51-39 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Yenniffer Pena who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Dominican swingman Yadira Polanco (178-1992) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. LMMR 2's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Silvia Vega (176-2003) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds and guard Andrea Canales (162-2004) added 13 points in the effort for Salvadorenas 2. LMMR 2 maintains third position with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader San Salvador. Salvadorenas 2 at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. LMMR 2 will play against league's leader San Salvador on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Salvadorenas 2 will play against the league's leader San Salvador and hopes to get back on the winning track.
