There was no surprise in Queretaro where 5th ranked Dorados (9-9) were defeated by first ranked Libertadores (12-6) 89-75 on Wednesday. Libertadores looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Branden Frazier (191-1992, college: Fordham) who scored 23 points. The other American import point guard Tyrik Armstrong (178-1998, college: Texas Southern, agency: MSG) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists. Four Libertadores players scored in double figures. American power forward Thomas Gipson (202-1993, college: Kansas St.) produced 18 points and 7 rebounds and American-Filipino guard Mikh McKinney (184-1992, college: Sacramento St.) added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Libertadores have an impressive five-game winning streak.
