No shocking result in a game when third ranked Storm (8-1) edged 9th ranked Cimarrones (2-7) in Quibdo-Choco 66-63 on Tuesday. Argentinian forward Rodrigo Sanchez (200-1989) nailed 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Panamanian Josimar Ayarza (205-1987, college: Southern Miss) accounted for 17 points and 8 rebounds. Venezuelan center Windi Graterol (204-1986, agency: Pro Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Mike Poole (196-1992, college: Iona) added 21 points respectively for Cimarrones in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Storm. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Cafeteros. Loser Cimarrones keep the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Tigrillos. Storm will meet league's second-placed Cafeteros in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Cimarrones will play against Tigrillos (#10) in Medellin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
