Regular Season Round 4: Obras - Union Florida 64-53
Date: October 18, 2023
There was no surprise in Buenos Aires where 4th ranked Union Florida (1-4) was defeated by second ranked Obras (4-1) 64-53 on Wednesday. Obras outrebounded Union Florida 52-41 including a 42-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of international Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and international Camila Suarez (178-2000) who added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side Colombian forward Alejandra Alonso (177-1992) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Giuliana Baccarelli (165-2004) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Obras have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-1 record having just one point less than leader Ameghino, which they share with Olimpico. Union Florida lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Berazategui and Instituto. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
