The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Freseras' (5-19) road loss to sixth ranked Mineros (11-13) in Zacatecas 74-94 on Friday. Mineros looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by American guard Tyrone White (201-1990, college: CSUB) who scored that evening 20 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Chris Perry (203-1994, college: LMU, agency: Pro Sports) supported him with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Mineros players scored in double figures. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by swingman Manuel Hernandez (193-1991) did not help to save the game for Freseras. American guard Matthew Butler (188-1995, college: UT Martin) added 12 points and 4 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mineros moved-up to fifth place. Loser Freseras keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. Mineros will meet higher ranked Panteras (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
