An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Jinotega. Second ranked Brumas faced 4th ranked Leones. Host Brumas (15-4) defeated guests from Managua (13-6) 82-66. Brumas looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 17 assists for the winners. Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) chipped in 25 points. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. Colombian center Chyse Webster (204-2000) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Kaleb Hunter (193-1998, college: UNCG) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Brumas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Caribbean Coast. Leones at the other side keep the fourth place with six games lost. Brumas is looking forward to face UNI Basket (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leones will play against Indigenas (#7) and are hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
