Everything went according to plan in Cordoba where top-ranked Instituto (2-0) beat 13th ranked Quimsa (1-2) 87-73 on Saturday. Instituto dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Quimsa's 28. Instituto forced 27 Quimsa turnovers. Strangely Quimsa outrebounded Instituto 43-27 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Kadir Pomare fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Ignacio Beltramino (179) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Instituto's coach Mauro Salinas let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games.
