We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Santa Ana where 4th placed LMMR 2 (4-6) was defeated by fifth ranked San Miguel (4-6) 63-53 on Sunday. San Miguel held LMMR 2 to an opponent 24.3 percent shooting from the field compared to 31.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded LMMR 2 65-38 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for point guard Aida Funes (171-1984) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Jennifer Magarin helped adding 10 points and 24 rebounds. At the losing side Yenniffer Pena responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Cibeles Miranda (175-1988) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. San Miguel moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated LMMR 2. LMMR 2 lost their fourth game in a row.
