An interesting game was played in Montevideo where Defensor beat host Goes 87-73 on Thursday evening. Defensor dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Goes' 30. American guard Malik Curry (184-1999, college: WVU) stepped up and scored 23 points and 5 assists for the winners and guard Facundo Terra (187-1998) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Kevin Allen (211-1994, college: Emporia St.) responded with 20 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Mateo Giano (186-2000) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Goes' coach Luis Silveira rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defensor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Montevideo Aguada.
