There was a small surprise in Mercedes where eleventh ranked Argentino (3-2) defeated 8th ranked Comunicaciones (2-2) 61-54 on Thursday. Franco Capelli stepped up and scored 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marcos Panozzo (195) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and guard Agustin Bruner (188-2004) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds.
