Regular Season Round 6: Ferro - Quimsa 53-49
Date: November 7, 2023
Very predictable result when third rankedFerro (5-2) won against 15th ranked Quimsa (1-3) in Buenos Aires 53-49 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ferro forced 21 Quimsa turnovers. Center Augusto Roveres (207-2003) notched 9 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Juan Ryzwaniuk (-2005) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Ferro's coach Jonathan Laino used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 13 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks by center Raymon Bastardo (202-2002) did not help to save the game for Quimsa . Facundo Campos (-2005) added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Ferro maintains third position with 5-2 record behind leader Gimnasia. Quimsa lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with three games lost. They share the position with Union. Ferro will meet at home Penarol (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Quimsa will play against the league's leader Gimnasia CR (#1) in Comodoro Rivadavia and hope to win that game.
