There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedRacing A. (2-1) won against higher ranked Ameghino (3-5) in Buenos Aires 76-72 on Friday. Racing A. made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The winners were led by forward Rafael Rosende (198-1997) who scored that evening 22 points and 9 rebounds and power forward Matias Nunez (202-1995) supported him with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Even 11 points and 5 rebounds by forward Abel Aristimuno (195-1991, agency: BIG) did not help to save the game for Ameghino . Point guard Fermin Thygesen (186-1998) added 14 points for the guests. Four Ameghino players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Racing A. moved-up to thirteenth place. Ameghino lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost.
