It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Leon. Brumas players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cuban center Marvin Cairo (203-1991) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. American Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Four Brumas players scored in double figures. Dominican Xavier de la Rosa (196-1991) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Puerto Rican forward Jonathan Ocasio (196-1992, college: New Haven) added 20 points in the effort for Leon. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Brumas . They maintain second place with 21-5 record behind leader Caribbean Coast. Leon at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost.
