Bottom-rankedOlimpico (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 91-67 loss to second ranked Obera (7-1) in La Banda. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Obera outrebounded Olimpico 48-35 including 16 on the offensive glass. Obera players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Olimpico 's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Power forward Kelvin Ramirez (204-2002) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds. Forward Alejo Azpilicueta (201-2002) contributed with 22 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Francisco Conca replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 14 rebounds and guard Augusto Morales (185-2003) added 15 points in the effort for Olimpico. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Olimpico's coach Guillermo Aliende gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Obera have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader Gimnasia. Olimpico at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost.
