Regular Season Round 10: Quimsa - Argentino 73-64

There was an upset in Santiago del Estero where higher ranked Argentino (5-4) was defeated by thirteenth ranked Quimsa (4-5) 73-64 on Monday. Guard Matias Pikaluk (185-2006) fired 18 points and 4 steals for the winners. Ecuadorian forward Joseph Caicedo (196-2004) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Quimsa's coach Marcelo Zanni allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Leonel Singh produced 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Augusto Gennero (188-2003) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Quimsa have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Argentino dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Quimsa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Argentino will play against La Union (#17) in Formosa and hope to secure a win.
