Regular Season Round 1: Quetzales - U-18 Fem 88-50

There was no surprise when U-18 Fem was outleveled by Quetzales in Ciudad de Mexico 88-50 on Saturday. Quetzales dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to U-18 Fem's 20. Quetzales forced 21 U-18 Fem turnovers. Cuban center Clenia Noblet (190-1987) nailed a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and Andrea Jimenez accounted for 17 points and 4 steals. Valeria Ojeda (-2006) came up with 8 points and 5 rebounds and Mariana Mendivil added 11 points respectively for U-18 Fem in the defeat. U-18 Fem's coach was aware about no chance of winning the game, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Quetzales will meet at home Mineras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. U-18 Fem will play against Cinnamon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
