Regular Season Round 27: Jachal - GEPU 63-80

There was no surprise when 15th rankedJachal (2-14) lost at home to third ranked GEPU (11-6) 80-63 on Saturday. GEPU dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Jachal 's 22. GEPU looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Matias Borsatti (189-1997, agency: BIG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jorge Mas accounted for 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Four GEPU players scored in double figures. Point guard Julian Roumec (188-1997) came up with 9 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Pablo Crausaz (194-1997) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Jachal in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for GEPU . They maintain third place with 11-6 record having thirteen points less than leader Suardi. Loser Jachal keeps the fifteenth position with 14 games lost.
