Regular Season Round 28: Amancay - GEPU 62-59

Very important is a road loss of third ranked GEPU (11-7) against tenth ranked Amancay (8-9) on Monday night. Visiting GEPU was edged by Amancay in a tough game in La Rioja 59-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GEPU. Guard Matias Lucero (188-1999) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Juan Cognigni (192-1990) chipped in 15 points. Jorge Mas produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Ignacio Cuassolo (200-1999) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Newly promoted Amancay maintains tenth position with 8-9 record, which they share with Ameghino. Loser GEPU keeps the third place with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
