There was an upset in Cordoba where 4th placedAmeghino (4-2) was edged by tenth ranked Quimsa (2-4) 62-60 on Tuesday. Strangely Ameghino outrebounded Quimsa 40-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Swingman Lorena Campos (171-1999) fired 15 points and 6 steals for the winners. Point guard Julieta Sienra (161-2003) chipped in 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American swingman Nija Collier (183, college: Central Mo.) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international center Malvina DAgostino (184-2001) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Quimsa moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Instituto. Loser Ameghino dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with Union Florida.
