Regular Season Round 8: Olimpico - Montmartre 72-60

Olimpico can celebrate finally their first win this season after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Montmartre (1-6) 72-60 on Sunday. Olimpico outrebounded Montmartre 48-31 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Stefania Lucero (172-1993) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and Melany Perez who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Swingman Maria Cecilia Acevedo (170-1993) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Paraguayan forward Paloma Niz (175-1999) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Olimpico left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Montmartre.
