Rather expected game when bottom-rankedCinnamon (0-6) lost to second ranked Las Avispas (5-1) in Ciudad de Mexico 64-72 on Saturday. Vania Marinez nailed 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Erika Mora accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Yedid Espinosa came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Colombian Yuli Viveros (-2001) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Cinnamon in the defeat. Five Las Avispas and four Cinnamon players scored in double figures. Cinnamon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the third consecutive win for Las Avispas . They maintain second place with 5-1 record behind leader Libelulas, which they share with Quetzales and Mineras.
