Fourth-rankedHuskys (1-5) were very close to win a game against third ranked Mineras (5-1) in Zacatecas on Saturday. Mineras managed to secure only two-point victory 51-49 . However their fans expected easier game. Mineras forced 21 Huskys turnovers. American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Karla Martinez (175-2000, college: San Diego) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Cinthya Dominguez answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Eslie Rodriguez added 8 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Huskys. Mineras moved-up to second place, which they share with Quetzales and Las Avispas. Huskys lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with five games lost.
