Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Ciudad de Mexico:Quetzales (#2) and Huskys (#4). Huskys were crushed at home by 31 points 50-81 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Quetzales dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Huskys ' 26. Quetzales forced 22 Huskys turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for center Monica Farrera (185-1997) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Cuban center Clenia Noblet (190-1987) accounted for 8 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Four Quetzales players scored in double figures. Cinthya Dominguez came up with 8 points and 9 rebounds and guard Karla Machuca (-1996) added 8 points respectively for Huskys in the defeat. Huskys' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Quetzales (7-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They used an opportunity after Libelulas lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Huskys lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with seven games lost.
