The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss ofLibelulas (7-1) in Ciudad de Mexico on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Mineras (6-2) 85-80 . It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Libelulas. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 15 rebounds. International guard Karla Martinez (175-2000, college: San Diego) contributed with 17 points for the winners. The former international swingman Ingrid Martinez (175-1995) answered with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Justicia Castaneda added 20 points in the effort for Libelulas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mineras maintains third place with 6-2 record having just two points less than leader Libelulas. Libelulas at the other side still keep top position with one game lost. They share it with Quetzales.
