An interesting game forMineras (12-2) which hosted in Zacatecas 3rd placed Quetzales (7-5). Second ranked Mineras had an easy win 84-61 . Mineras forced 19 Quetzales turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Briahanna Jackson (168-1993, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists. Guard Fernanda Rubio (170-1999) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Mineras' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Cuban center Clenia Noblet (190-1987) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and Andrea Jimenez added 14 points (made all of her nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Quetzales. Mineras have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 12-2 record having just two point less than leader Libelulas. Quetzales lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with five games lost.
