There was an upset in Talca where higher rankedValdivia (5-5) was edged by eleventh ranked Espanol (2-6) 94-92 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American-Jamaican forward D.J. Foreman (203-1994, college: St.Louis) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Ivan Bravo (-2000) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Dwayne Russell (203-1998, college: St.Thomas, FL) who recorded a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds and Argentinian Juan Manuel Rivero (191-1985) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Five Espanol and four Valdivia players scored in double figures. Valdivia's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Espanol went down to twelfth position due to points difference. Valdivia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with five games lost.
