The most exciting game of round 7 in the TBN took place in Esteli. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 8th rankedReal Esteli (4-3) to seventh ranked Sebaco (5-1) 68-65 on Saturday evening. Strangely Real Esteli outrebounded Sebaco 65-47 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard David Toruno (-1992) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Erick Mairena (-2004) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Nishon Thomas answered with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 24 rebounds and guard Kevin Gutierrez (-2002) added 15 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Real Esteli. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sebaco have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place. Real Esteli lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with three games lost.
