Very predictable result when leaderTipitapa (6-0) won against 14th ranked Carazo (4-4) in Managua 67-60 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Romario Ponce (180-1995) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. The former international center Roger Munoz (208-1984, college: Trinity Valley) accounted for 13 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Carlos Guillen (-1991) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Armando Martinez (190-1988) added 6 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists respectively for Carazo in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tipitapa have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 6-0 record behind leader Jaguares. Loser Carazo dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Jass and Hurricane.
