There was a surprise result when fourteenth rankedCarazo (4-4) edged higher ranked Real Esteli (4-3) in Jinotepe 84-82 on Sunday. The winners were led by the former international guard Armando Martinez (190-1988) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 14 assists and Luis Jarquin (-1994) supported him with 30 points. Carazo's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 22 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists by the former international forward Deo Downs (-2006) did not help to save the game for Real Esteli . Guard Kevin Gutierrez (-2002) added 18 points and 8 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Carazo moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Jass and Hurricane. Real Esteli lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with three games lost.
