Rather expected game in Cordoba where 5th rankedRocamora (5-7) was defeated by third ranked Ameghino (10-3) 56-40 on Sunday. Ameghino outrebounded Rocamora 55-28 including a 45-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Nija Collier (183, college: Central Mo.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 17 rebounds. The former international center Malvina DAgostino (184-2001) helped adding 9 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was power forward Nerea Schmidt (174-1995) with 15 points and 6 steals and point guard Aldana Pineiro (163-1998, agency: BIG) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ameghino have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-3 record having four points less than leader Obras. Rocamora lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost.
