Regular Season Round 8: Alcaldia Alma - Leon 77-64

Alcaldia Alma's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after eight consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Leon (0-8) 77-64. Alcaldia Alma dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Leon's 38. Alcaldia Alma forced 19 Leon turnovers and outrebounded them 59-28 including a 25-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Leon was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Jaymar Hodgson who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and Eliezer Lopez who added 13 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. Alcaldia Alma's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Australian guard Joel Wagner (181-1987) responded with 21 points and 7 rebounds and Cristopher Vargas Peralta scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Alcaldia Alma (1-8) left bottom position moving up to nineteenth place. It was Leon's eighth loss in a row. They still close the standings with eight games lost.
