Very expected game when bottom-rankedLeon (0-10) was smashed by twelfth ranked Tigres (5-4) in Corinto 122-70 on Wednesday. Tigres dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Leon 's 46. Tigres forced 44 Leon turnovers and outrebounded them 56-44 including a 27-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Puerto Rican swingman Hector Rodriguez (-2005) nailed 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 8 steals for the winning side and forward Jorge Lazo (-2004) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Tigres players scored in double figures. Carlos Valdivia came up with a double-double by scoring 47 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and guard Ronaldo Valverde added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Leon in the defeat. Tigres moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Carazo. Leon lost their tenth game in a row. They still close the standings with ten games lost.
