Not a big story in a game when 5th rankedUNAN de (6-3) lost to leader Brumas (7-0) in Leon 65-75 on Sunday. Brumas forced 20 UNAN de turnovers and outrebounded them 48-37 including 18 on the offensive glass. The former international Dalton Cacho (200-1993) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Arnulfo Mendoza (173-2000) accounted for 19 points. Five Brumas players scored in double figures. The former international guard Vansdell Thomas (185-1986) came up with 15 points and 4 steals and center Argels Salazar (208-2002) added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for UNAN de in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Brumas . They maintain third place with 7-0 record having five points less than leader Jaguares, which they share with Tipitapa. Loser UNAN de L. dropped to the sixth position with three games lost.
