Rather expected game when 9th rankedFrayles de Guasave (1-7) lost at home to seventh ranked Pioneros Los Mochis (4-6) 99-82 on Saturday. Los Mochis made 27-of-29 free shots (93.1 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. Power forward Raphiael Putney (207-1990, college: UMass) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Nigel Hawkins (193, college: SF Austin) supported him with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Even 24 points and 9 rebounds by power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) did not help to save the game for Frayles . Point guard David Sloan (183-1999, college: ETSU) added 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Five Los Mochis and four Frayles players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Los Mochis maintains seventh position with 4-6 record. Frayles lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with seven games lost. They share the position with Culiacan.
