Rather expected game when 5th rankedTridents (4-7) were smashed by second ranked Cavaliers (10-1) in Bridgetown 101-40 on Sunday. Cavaliers held Tridents to an opponent 23.6 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.1 percent accuracy of the winners and had 18 for 27 from the free-throw line, while Tridents only scored one point from the stripe. Cavaliers forced 40 Tridents turnovers and outrebounded them 61-43 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Cavaliers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cavaliers made 9 blocks. Forward Adriel Brathwaite (, college: Orange CC) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and the former international forward Saeed Norville (201-1992) accounted for 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Cavaliers players scored in double figures. Forward Antoine Winter came up with 16 points and 8 rebounds and forward Tristan Yarde added 8 points and 13 rebounds respectively for Tridents in the defeat. Tridents' coach C. Edwards gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Cavaliers . They maintain second place with 10-1 record having just one point less than leader Pinelands. Loser Tridents keep the fifth position with seven games lost.
