An interesting game forAmeghino (14-4) which played road game in Buenos Aires against their biggest opponent Obras (15-3). Third ranked Ameghino managed to get a 4-point victory 71-67 . It was a great evening for power forward Lara Tribouley (181-2004) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. American swingman Nija Collier (183, college: Central Mo.) helped adding 7 points and 16 rebounds. At the losing side international Candela Gentinetta (181-2001) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and international Camila Suarez (178-2000) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Obras' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Ameghino maintains third place with 14-4 record having just three points less than leader Ferro. Obras at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Ameghino will play against Riachuelo (#5) in La Rioja in the next round. Obras will play on the road against Rocamora in Concepcion de Urug. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
