Not a big story in a game when 12th rankedZarate (11-15) was outplayed at home by fourth ranked Platense (17-7) 72-40 on Monday. Platense held Zarate to an opponent 22.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.3 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Zarate 50-34 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Brazilian center Pedro Ianguas (210-1998) stepped up and scored 8 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and the former international Eric Flor (190-1993) chipped in 17 points. Agustin Brocal (191-1997) responded with 16 points and point guard Lucas Andujar (185-1996) scored 3 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Platense maintains fourth place with 17-7 record. Newly promoted Zarate keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Riachuelo.
