Regular Season Round 28: Comunicaciones - Independ.O. 84-83

There was a minor upset in Mercedes where 6th ranked Independ.O. (16-9) was edged by ninth ranked Comunicaciones (14-9) 84-83 on Friday. Comunicaciones forced 26 Independ.O. turnovers. Forward Marcos Panozzo (195) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Mateo Rearte (-2006) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Comunicaciones players scored in double figures. Point guard Jorge Garcia (180) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and Esteban Caffaro (200-2003) added 16 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Comunicaciones maintains ninth position with 14-9 record. Independ.O. lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Comunicaciones will meet at home San Martin (#19) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Independ.O. will play against Riachuelo (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
