There was no surprise in Villa Maria where 12th rankedAmeghino (15-17) was crushed by second ranked Racing (22-10) 85-65 on Thursday. Swingman Santiago Assum (194-1998) scored 21 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Jose Peralta (202-1995) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four Racing players scored in double figures. Power forward Juan Luis Abeiro (200-1988) responded with 15 points and Carlos Rivero (207-2003) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Racing have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 22-10 record having just three points less than leader San Isidro. Loser Ameghino dropped to the tenth place with 17 games lost. They share the position with Ciclista.
